“Safety from us and for us”

Traffic accidents are a matter of concern for all parties, especially every company in Bekasi Regency. In a previous Safety Riding event at PT Astom Indonesia, the police stated that the majority of accident victims are employees of a company. Additionally, he stated that work-related accidents typically originate from violations committed by motor vehicle operators.

Incomplete motor vehicle documents, vehicles that do not meet the standards set by the vehicle manufacturer, and violations of safety regulations in motor vehicles are examples of traffic violations.

In light of these considerations, the P2K3 Team of PT Astom Indonesia devised a program pertaining to traffic safety awareness among the workforce. One aspect of this program is the inspection of motor vehicles belonging to PT Astom Indonesia employees. The objective of the program is to reduce the incidence of traffic accidents or violations experienced by PT Astom Indonesia employees due to incomplete documentation or non-standard vehicle conditions in accordance with safety regulations. The motor vehicle inspection encompasses an assessment of the vehicle’s documentation, driver’s license, and safety equipment, including the condition of tires, mirrors, helmets, turn signals, and headlights. This process will be ongoing to ensure that safety objectives, particularly those pertaining to traffic safety, are met and that workers are safeguarded from accidents or violations.
